Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions from wholesale buyers about ordering, shipping, grading, and country-specific compliance.
Ordering & Pricing
What is your minimum order?
One full container. You can mix grades and categories within a single container, and we’ll spec the load based on your destination market and budget.
How are containers priced?
Pricing varies by grade, category, and destination port. Cream and Grade A premium mixes are highest per pound; Grade B and C are most economical for volume buyers. Request a quote with your destination port and we’ll send a current rate sheet.
What payment terms do you offer?
Standard terms are 50% deposit on order confirmation, balance against draft Bill of Lading. For repeat buyers we offer flexible terms including wire transfer, irrevocable LC, or open account on a case-by-case basis.
Can I get samples before committing to a container?
Yes. We send small sample bales by courier (FedEx, DHL) at your cost. Sample weight is typically 50–100 lb depending on grade. The sample fee is credited toward your first container if you order within 60 days.
Can I mix grades and categories in one container?
Yes — most buyers prefer tuned mixes. A common spec is 30% Grade A / 50% Grade B / 20% Grade C, or a category-specific load (e.g., women’s summer-heavy for tropical markets, men’s denim-heavy for South America). Tell us your market and we’ll build the right load.
Logistics & Shipping
Where do you ship from?
FOB Houston, Texas. All containers are loaded wall-to-wall at our Houston facility and trucked to the Port of Houston for ocean freight.
How long does shipping take to my country?
Typical ocean transit times from Houston:
- Latin America (Chile, Honduras, Guatemala, Peru): 14–21 days
- West Africa (Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia): 28–35 days
- East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda): 35–45 days
- South Asia (India, Pakistan): 35–50 days
- Europe (Italy, Germany, Poland): 14–21 days
Add 1–2 weeks for loading and documentation before vessel departure.
Do you arrange ocean freight, or just FOB?
We handle ocean freight on your behalf to most major ports worldwide — booking, container drop at the Port of Houston, and Bill of Lading coordination. If you’d prefer to use your own freight forwarder, we can sell FOB Houston instead and you arrange shipping from the port.
What documents come with a shipment?
Standard export package: commercial invoice, packing list, Bill of Lading, certificate of origin, and fumigation certificate. Country-specific certs (KEBS, PVoC, SRO 237 declaration, COC) are provided as required for your destination.
Quality & Grading
How is your clothing graded?
Trained graders inspect each garment for condition, fashion currency, brand, and fiber type. Items are sorted into four tiers: Cream (vintage/premium resale), Grade A (like-new/lightly worn), Grade B (light to moderate wear), and Grade C (heavier wear). See our full grading standards page for tier details and target markets, or our buyer’s guide for how grading consistency varies across suppliers.
What does “Premium” mean in your product names?
“Premium” refers to our top-tier curated mixes (Cream and Grade A combined), sorted for retail-floor presentation in second-hand stores and online resellers. These are the highest-condition bales we ship.
How do I know I’m getting what I ordered?
Every container is photographed before sealing. You receive container photos, a packing list with bale-by-bale grade breakdown, and container seal numbers. No surprises at the destination port.
Country-Specific Compliance
Does your clothing comply with Pakistan SRO 237?
Yes. We provide the required declarations and ensure containers meet SRO 237 specifications issued by Pakistan’s Federal Board of Revenue for Karachi clearance. We’ve been shipping to Karachi importers for years and know the documentation and content requirements.
Do you handle Kenya KEBS PVoC certification?
Yes. We coordinate with Intertek, SGS, or Bureau Veritas for Pre-Verification of Conformity inspections required by the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) for Mombasa imports. Lead time adds approximately one week for inspection scheduling.
What documents are required for Chile Aduana clearance?
The Servicio Nacional de Aduanas de Chile requires a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin, and fumigation certificate — we provide all of these for every Chile shipment. Importers should also confirm their RUT registration and customs broker arrangement before order confirmation.
Didn’t find your answer?
We typically respond within one business day with pricing, lead times, and shipping details for your destination port.
